  • Article 30.3 (a) of the Sporting Regulations: "During practice and the race, drivers may use only the track and must at all times observe the provisions of the Code relating to driving behaviour on circuits."
  • Appendix L chapter 4 Article 2 (g) of the International Sporting Code: "The race track alone shall be used by the drivers during the race."

Incident

Stewards say: "Cut the chicane and gained an advantage."

Lewis Hamilton cut the Bus Stop chicane and overtook Kimi Raikkonen. Following this, Hamilton appeared to back off to allow Raikkonen to re-take his position. Hamilton then overtook Raikkonen going into the following corner, La Source.

Penalty

Drive-through penalty. As this was applied after the end of the race, 25 seconds were added to Lewis Hamilton's race time.
